At Queen City Pool Pros, we don’t build pools to impress. We build with purpose, precision, and pride—because doing it right is the only way we operate. We’re here for homeowners who want the job done right the first time—no shortcuts, no cutting-corners, just straight answers and solid work. That mentality drives everything we do, from new pool construction to renovation to long-term maintenance. We’ve built trust one job at a time by delivering on every promise. The goal is simple: give people a pool they don’t have to think twice about.

The Queen City Story:

Queen City Pool Pros started as a service company. We earned a reputation by showing up, solving problems, and doing what others wouldn’t. That discipline carried us into construction—not because we initially planned to build pools, but because many customers asked us to. They wanted the same standards from their builder that they got from their service team: honest answers, no shortcuts, and work that holds up over time.

One of our founders, Rey Maualuga, a name familiar to many in Cincinnati, brought more than a reputation—he brought a mindset. A former Bengals linebacker, Rey knows what it means to lead from the front. His approach to football is the same approach we take to building pools: do the hard work, protect what matters, and never back down from a challenge.

Today, Queen City Pool Pros builds, renovates, and maintains pools across Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. We’ve been voted Best Pool Service 2023 by Best of Dayton Magazine, and we stand by one thing above all: you don’t cut corners when you’re building something that lasts.

Certified Pool Operator®

Queen City Pools has a certified pool operator on staff.

The Certified Pool & Spa Operator® (CPO®) certification program is the world’s leading education and certification program for keeping pools safer and keeping them open. Over 600,000 students have been trained since 1973.

CPO certification provides individuals with the knowledge, techniques, and skills required for proper pool operations. This course is available as both a blended training program or completely virtual (completely online).

PHTA – Pool and Hot Tub Alliance

Queen City Pool Pros is proud to be a member of the Pool and Hot Tub Alliance.

The PHTA was formed in 2019 through the merger of The Association of Pool & Spa Professionals and The National Swimming Pool Foundation. Both organizations have similar goals of making swimming safe, healthy and fun, so the merger was a logical improvement.

PHTA is the world’s largest association representing swimming pool, hot tub and spa manufacturers, distributors, manufacturers’ agents, designers, builders, installers, supplier, retailers, and service professionals. PHTA offers pool and hot tub education and certification programs, provides valuable membership benefits, develops trusted industry standards and advocates for critical legislation.

PHTA members adhere to a code of ethics in business and technical practices and share a strong commitment to the safe, healthful, and enjoyable use of industry products.

The Jandy “Pro-Edge” designation is reserved for a select few Jandy dealers who meet strict requirements for capability, reputation and customer satisfaction.
